OT I am a Grandma!

Hello fellow wintersowing friends. I am a grandma. I am so happy. He is 10 lbs 13 ounces at 21 inches in length. He is so cute. I just love him....Life is wonderful. Oh I think I will sow some hardy perrienals on his 2nd day in the world. Barb

Ouch that's a big baby! : ) Congratulations! Christmas is going to be so fun for you all.
Be sure to plant a tree for him when you do your winter sowing.

Lucky you. Excessive heat certainly isn't my problem these days! And congratulations. I'm a first-time gramma, too. We added a lot of hornswort last summer which I'm sure had something to do with it and gave the fry cover. I spotted at least 5 black and 1 multicolored orange fry last fall. Sure hope they survive the winter up here in the northeast USA. From what I've been reading they're most likely all goldfish, although the multicolored one is intriguing. Can't wait to see happens with him/her.

roflmao ...the minute they lay that baby in your arms, you forget all about it! Until you take a look at.........well that is a posting for a totally different forum. roflmao Bigger baby's might hurt a little lol. Especially if it is your FIRST. But just look at your grandson Barb. They look like dolls. NO wrinkles lol No ironing needed there lol Ok time to throw myself into this day. Love coming back to this thread. I'm reading all the posts, even when I'm not responding by typing, I am thinking about you all and praying for you when needed, like EG's daughter needs especially right now. As for worrying about the spirituality of others, well, all we can do is be an example and pray for them. I know in my home that it has made a world of difference when I get closer to the Lord... that's all we can do as it's their decision about their own walk... As for spirits, those that call on Jesus name can kick the BUTT out of anything that isn't off God... try that and see! We made a nasty spirit leave our current home... most people would have called it a ghost. It scared the crap out me for a long time, our tenants (before we moved in the home ourselves, we had rented it) gave us some really scary stories, too, but regardless they HAVE to flee, but ONLY IN JESUS NAME). (Okay, now that everyone thinks I'm crazier than before, I'll change the subject...) Hannah just finished her second week (2 days a week) of tennis. The scar on her leg is mostly healed except at the bottom, but it looks like it's going to turn into a callus... not sure if that's good or bad, but sounds good to me right now... I may still have to go to Dallas to get an adjustment on her prosthesis. I can't blame you, Granny, for wanting to be there for a little bit after the baby is born. You keep standing your ground, girl! Well, I gotta run for now, so I'll check back and try to finish reading the posts... Blessings, Angela

Pittisporum undulatum it is! - Thank You! Now that I know it turns in to a tallish tree, we will have to figure out what to do. Also, since it is native to Australia, that explains why it likes my garden. I will have to look around more - I'll bet there are some mature ones in my neighborhood, and these were the gifts of birds. Jackie

Hi Yes he is my first grandbaby. I was lucky and got another two beutiful kids from her too. Oh thank you for the tree idea. I just got some tree seeds in this week from a friend here. I am just so darn excited. He has my toes. They curl under lol Barb

Ladylotus sent me chinese catalpa seeds this week. The long bean pod will remind me of our toes. LOL Barb

What a wonderful holiday gift you got! Just in time, this will give the new mom a little time to heal before Christmas!

WOW! Ten pounds, 21 inches! That is a big boy, he sounds healthy! Baby feet are the greatest, aren't they? Those little puffs at the ends of their legs and tiny, chubby toes!

I'm happy for you and your family, such a blessing!

Best wishes for new person! May he be everything you want him to be! Clematis is very long lived same as tree, 90 years or so. Could be nice addition to the tree..

Hi Everyone here he is I just love him so much. What a future ahead.... Linda thank you so much fro the cleamatis idea. That is such a wonderful idea. The flowers this year will be totally different. I just ordered a bunch of adendiums. I will think of him. We are going down in a couple of weeeks to see him. I cant wait!

Congratulations !! I have 1 grandchild she will 3 in Jan. She is the love of my life, I swear just thinking of her makes a big old grin break out on my face. Being a Nana is awesome!!
