I have obtained plants from Missouri Wildflowers when they come to Tulsa for the Backyard Habitat tour. They have excellent plants and prices.

I'll be in OKC this weekend to visit my mom. I'll bring you the fimbriata plants that I've been raising for you. They aren't very big yet, but are growing well. This will get you a start. This fall, look for seed or make a request on the seed exchange, as they are easy to grow from seed. I plan to start more myself. I am hoping my plants also will produce seed. I don't know how long it takes them to get mature enough to flower.

Sounds great, Sandy! I looked for plants on the Internet but everyone is sold out. I knew I was late in checking them out, but hey, what the heck, I tried.

Do you have ptelea trifoliata? If not, I am going to try to order it, too. Also the Bird of Paradise (caelsipinia) is another plant I want. I know you said someone sold it, but I can't remember who.

I don't know if I have anything you want yet. I do have some seedlings coming up of the Senna bicapsularis (did I give you seed last year or not?)

Do you have the Monarda fistulosa or didyma (bright pink flowers)? I have tons of that if you want any.

Also have a lot of Cosmos 'Cosmic Orange' coming up, too.

Guess what, the Golden Crownbeard (verbesina encelioides did reseed a few plants.

You also gave me a tiny plant with grey felted foliage, but don't remember what it is - it's not the Crownbeard. Anyway, it is getting a tiny little flower on it, so I guess it's okay where I planted it.

One of my Hackberry Emperors made its chrysalis a couple of days ago. I'm feeding them morning and evening with fresh food because the hackberry foliage wilts quickly.

If you want to try to raise a few, I can share with you if you have some available hackberry. They are really cute caterpillars.

Can also dig up some of that aster you wanted. It is really starting to spread.

Haven't heard anything from Linda here for awhile, so don't know if she wants the cudweed or not. I found another small plant growing in my garden bed, which would be easier to dig than the other one.

Do you have any passion vine coming up yet? I can save some seed this year of the P. cearulea if you want it. It produces fruit, which the incarnata 'Lavendar Lady' does not.

That looks like a wonderful nursery, Susan! They have such a big selection of plants, and their prices are so good.
Some new wildflowers are flowering near the bottom of the hollow, where it's wet and/or damp nearly all the time. I identified them as skullcap/scutellaria integrifolia, a plant that's closely related to salvia. My MS wildflower field guide says the flowers are blue to purple, but their picture shows the flowers as orchid pink. Mine are blue -

That is gorgeous, MissSherry! I didn't know that salvia was in the scrophulariaceae family! But, it seems logical based on the flowers.

Susan, salvia and scutellaria are both in the lamiaceae/mint family. The flowers do look similar to those of members of the scrophulariaceae/snapdragon family, though.

I have been to the Missouri Wildflowers Nursery...pretty cool, actually. They are tucked back into the woods...lots of critters to be on the lookout for.

I, of course, brought home many plants that day!

It's hard not to bring home just a ton of plants, isn't it, WebKat? Everytime I visit the Wild Things booth at the Farmer's Market, it's all I can do to not spend my whole check there! LOL!

MissSherry, that Skullcap is absolutely stunning! I didn't realize that it could grow in our hot temps, always thought it was a cool climate plant. I'll be keeping an eye out for it at Marilyn's and Precure (our favorite butterfly plant nursery here in OKC).
