Got new plants today! (Did I plant them correctly?)

Hi all,

Just got my shipment from P. Moon -- NJ Tea (replacement for one I weeded last year :( ), Virginia Mountain Mint, Pussytoes, Little Bluestem, and some False Nettle seeds (998 seeds in a packet ... anyone want some extras?).

The Virginia Mountain Mint was a little odd. There was a crown, roots below, stem above, and several white/red runners OR stems coming out of the crown.

I couldn't tell whether they were runners that create new plants, as coreopsis does, or whether they are new stems themselves. I ended up putting them just under the soil. Is that right?

The Pussytoes, meanwhile, were also a little odd. Roots below, lots of leaves above. In among the leaves were many small, tightly wound white things. I assumed these are flowers? Anyways, I left them above ground since there was no other option.

Anyone with experience, if I erred, let me know soon so that I can fix it!

Thanks,

Jeff
