Thanks for the nice welcome from everyone. I have been a member of this forum for a long time,but I don't post a lot,I am "SHY" lol.
I started my fascination with Brugs when a member from another forum "Brugyman" was giving away cuttings to anyone who could pick them up. I live in Stratford ontario and the cuttings were available in Toronto.Fortunately for me my Sister lived about a ten minute drive from him so I killed 2 birds with one stone,had a visit with my Sister, and got the cuttings.
His Garden was amazing, HUGE Brug trees everywhere, I was absolutely green with envy.He gave me cuttings from most of them and a lot of them made it. That started my love of these wonderful plants,and it is still a passion for me.

Albert... my screen did not crack. Did you take the rock?

yes lol. I am sure it is made out of something but not made by nature lol I WS some seeds, even though you can actually buy blue bonnets plants at Lowes. I hope they will make it. I just love them.

Thanks Lucy and Eloise. You all have great plants too. I havent been able to get my brug seeds to germinate. You all are so lucky, you grow so many!

Siam how are you trying to get them to sprout?

Last winter and spring I had no luck either and I sowed out a LOT of brug seeds. Did nothing different this year BUT one thing. Instead of buying seeds from e bay all the brug seeds were shared with me by my garden friends here.

Hey Lucy, i soak them in water for 24 hours and then put them into germinating soil.

Siam you don't peel off the cork? After soaking you should peel off the corky shell to get to the seed. Only on fresh seeds they say you do not have to do the peeling.

I didn't think anyone would notice my seed/cutting collection bag (LOL). You guys are sharp. Technodweeb & Lucy. It is a metal art Bluebonnet that I ran across on the courthouse square in Burnett. By the way the seeds were not ripe yet so I wasted time bringing the collection bag. rotfl
