Acronyms

Acronyms are fine. They're fast and easy.

BUT if people don't know what they mean, you're not getting your message across.

Let's make a point of including the meaning once each time in your post, then continue with the acronyms.

Instead of "There's one thing about STing that drives me crazy. Some SCs forget that the seeds not only have to be formed, but MATURE, for them to sprout next year. Don't be in such a rush, or I'll have to GTYH and BYU with my BS."

Like this: "There's one thing about seed trading (ST) that drives me crazy. Some seed collectors (SCs) forget that the seeds not only have to be formed, but MATURE, for them to sprout next year. Don't be in such a rush, or I'll have to go to your house (GTYH) and beat you up (BYU) with my Big Stick (BS)."

It's really easier to read something like that than opening another window, type in ACRONYM FINDER, bring it up, type in the acronym, and then look through five pages of possibilities to figure out what you meant.

Okay? Am I being too picky here?
