establishing a butterfly garden

I've been searching the posts for ideas but there are way too many too read. What I really need are some basic ideas on how to get a butterfly garden started. I want to divide my undeveloped yard into a few different areas. I used to have a couple of butterfly bushes at my old place and really liked them. I was recently given a butterfly house that I would like to mount on a post or something and place it in the middle of an area rich with butterfly plantings to attract them. Does this sound like a good idea or is this not the way to attract butterflies? What would be some good selections to start with. Are there any must haves for attracting butterflies to my area? I need it to be pretty easy care after it is all finished. Besides the obvious of the butterflies, what makes a good butterfly garden in your opinion?
