My first blooms of the season

HEre are Lemon Sorbet, the bulb named "Angelique" at McClure Zimmerman, and one from last year. IS this Red Nymph or who?

I wasn't sure last year either! I would like to get a correct tag on it.

I Am so happy to have amies blooming again!

Awesome, Lizalily! The first flowers of the season always seem to be the most beautiful! Your lovely red bloom is either Red Nymph or Rock n Roll? It appears to have some slight white streaks in the middle of the petals...

I'm not good at naming the varieties, but I'm pretty good at exclaiming about them! LOL!

They're beautiful! I love the group photos and will dash hope today to take photos of more blooms!

Jessica, I had to use myself to block the sun and ended up taking the pic upside down. LOL! We gardeners get in the funniest positions to get the best photos! It's the non-gardeners that think we're nuts! I love the contrasting throat - it matches the background! Hope you have many more enjoyable blooms this season! Julie

I did a bit of research last night and think that my red is Double Dragon. I know I had one last year and liked it so well I have another on order from RC. I can hopefully verify it with that. IT has 2 layers of Flat petals plus the one of curly petals around the center and yes, there is a bit of white on the tips. IT has lots of pollen so will try crossing it with the others if any are ready for that before I leave on THurs. THis one is probably 4 1/2 " across with only 2 buds but the bulb was rather small also. Gotta fatten this baby up this year

Anyhow, I really like this one and the form the petals take.

Ah yes, Double Dragon... Maria posted one that just knocked my socks off! I'm not one for doubles, but there are a few that are certainly worthy of collecting!
