"Neon will also light in the presence of RF energy." I suspect the neon lamp in question is another high resistance load just like a digital voltmeter. You take 20 feet of Romex. Place the black wire in the hot side of a 120 volt receptacle and place a digital voltmeter between the floating white wire and the other side of the meter to ground...you may read 60 to 80VAC (as an example) depending on the load of the DVM. The remaining 40 to 60 volts is the voltage drop due to capacitive reactance. The 2 conductors separated by a dielectric (insulator) create the capacitor in the formula 1 divided by 2 x pi x 60 (freq) x capacitance in picofarads. (Something along these lines). I am not sure if frequency is in HZ or Khz. Again this is just my theory to explain the mystery voltage indicated by the glowing neon lamp.

Hey Thanks ya'll!! Bill where I live it is about 10 to 15 degrees warmer than my patch. I have been to the patch almost everyday Spraying miticide, Fungicide and fertilizing and SNG, plus repotting. The temps on an average have been as of yesterday around 69. I also went to my condo in Long Bch Yesterday and it was actually warmer there than even at my house..lol So go figure the weather is too weird. Bill the Golden Rainbow cutting you generously gifted me rooted so can not wait to see her blooms THANK YOU!!! Well I can not wait for A LITTLE more heat..lol I do not want Houston or Miami heat.. I have pictures of Makaha Sunn in my little battery camera, Richard has seen them. I will bring my camera to our meeting so you can see them. It is really hot colors, kinda like Gold Coast Cotton Candy, but more orange. It just had buds when I went down week before last. I took pictures, but it doesn't do her justice, they are so tiny. I did not take pictures last weekend, I was too upset, and wanted to get home. Emerson sent me a picture of Broomstick, and the colors are alot like Glady's O'Neal, but it has hugh open blooms. I am not partial to yellows, but it sure did look pretty. He said he will promote it next year. I felt I better get it now, its going to be impossible to get next year. Barbra
