Oh Denise, there are just veritable bucketloads of cute in those pictures - further proof that 'cat' and 'cactus' are more connected than just mere letters would signify. Mine invariably get involved with what I'm doing on the salon (main plant room) floor, much to my chagrin, sometimes.

#3 is sweet but the last is what I'm talking about - headbutting a cactus for fun and profit.

Thats a great way to explain it "head-butting" thats exacly what he does, lol.

I was noticing how clean looking and organized your plants look. My clay pots get all water stained and grungy looking. How do you keep yours looking so clean?

Beautiful cats! I still miss my Kitty who passed 1-1/2 years ago and haven't replaced her. I have to agree with pennyhal about the pots. Mine are always covered in algae and mineral deposits. I have to scrub with stiff brushes to keep them clean.

In pic#4 is that plant to the left a type of begonia? it looks rather like B.Partita, or B. Richardson ( not sure about the spelling of the last one, and if so has it started to develope a caudex yet ?
Pennyhal and Beverly, sometimes you can take a soft cloth and dip it in bit of vegatable oil and rub it on your pots and they will look almost new, it hides or erases, not sure which the white stuff that gets on clay pots, as long as it is not crusty.

They are beautiful! What type are they? They look like siblings. That second piture shows off how solid he is. I had to laught at checking out the bed, my cats have to check everything out and one has to "nap test" everything, lol.

My Banjit is a real pisser. She likes to do it wherever I plant a brand new plant. I need to cover with chicken wire till she forgets about them.I do like stone mulch because she does not like that ....OH, yea, she's a camera hog too.

Our kitty is fairly well-behaved around plants, after a long period of her being extremely badly behaved around plants. She will not leave cuttings alone if she happens upon them, but plants themselves, usually pretty good these days.

Denise, they are Giant Schnauzers. Great dogs, love to be with their human all the time. The one on the right isn't with us anymore, she was such a sweetheart and I miss her terribly. And yes, they were litter-mates.

Zoe is a pretty girl, and that's a coyote. No wolves in our area, just coyotes and the occasional catamount.

I moved some up - almost all of my collection I sold or gave away, but most of what I have now has been acquired in the last 5 years.

Your kitties are just beautiful and your cacti and succluents are perfect I am so envious, I hope to build my collection back up in time, it will never be what it was before but it is something to work towards.
Thank you for the thumbs up on the Begonia, it is very nice, I used to collect Begonias as well but I have had to drastically down size all my plant collections and am only now trying to rebuild and will have to stick with the ones nearest and dearest to my heart , my succulents.

To every one thank you so much for showing your beautiful pets and plants, it is a real joy to see such fantastic plants and sweet furry friends.

That tortoise is awesome! What type is it? Will it grow big? There are some at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo that must be over a hundred years old! They stand over three feet tall.

I couldn't leave Paco, my lovebird, out of this! Paco lives in a 10x3x6 aviary under our lemon tree. He is the only one who came back out of 10 that flew away when one of our dogs broke into their aviary :(
