I had to post about my favorites this summer.

Orange perfusion zinnia and tithonia. They were absolutely stunning!

Thank you to the swapper who sent these in! I'm going to be greedy and keep all my seeds for next year! Sorry!!!!

I love tithonia. I tried it a couple of times and didn't take for me.

My favs- my blue salvia, which attracted a host of bees.

ellenrr: This is the first year tithonia grew for me! I've tried it several years. This year, it sprouted and sat there at 2" tall forever, then one day, it was 4'. Keep trying, it's worth it. (Had a swallowtail in mid Oct who stuck around about an hour on the tithonia - then she found my bronze fennel and was visible excited. She laid four eggs on the seed heads.. They didn't make it though. :(

Of course, nothing beats Yvonne's salvia for hummers.
