Hi Karyn, do not think it really matters, I take pups when ever I feel like it. Sometimes it is very nice to let it clump and maybe just increase the pot size a little.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if it was better to wait like it is with some of the others. A larger pot would be nice but I'm short on space over the winter. Even a pot 2" bigger might be pushing it. I'm going to leave it in it's pot and just give the pups to friends.

I have a similar aloe, but with a more yellow tinge instead of blue. I have been debating separating mine recently, but I love the look of how they are filling out their 8" pot, so I am delaying it. Mine just finished blooming last week as well.

I think it would be wise to wait for spring when things warm up. I would let your pups callous for a week or so before putting them in dirt.

what kind of aloe are these?? I bought one a few months ago that looks just like these, and all the tag said was "Red" aloe, which doesnt help me much.
