OT: I should not have hugged Kristy today

I told Kristy a few days ago, that with all the bad luck happening to her, I better not hug her. So the bad luck can not rub off on me.

WEll......... it happened. :-( But Kristy don't worry..ha ha ha it is not your fault and I would hug you even if I knew it would rub off!! It is just LIFE happening :-(

My daughter who is in PA on an internship, got laid off today. From one day to the next. I do not know what she is going to do but I have to re arrange the house and fix HER room back up.

Taking a break fro POTD for a while and mostly lurk I guess...Not sure.

Miss you all and hope that this will not be a dark year for way to many already :-(

Thank you all so much. John took me to a water garden place in Austin and it was soooo beautiful! I didn't buy anything there but stopped at a guys house on the way home I had heard was selling koi and got a really pretty good size butterfly koi and two shebunkins for the price of one small koi at the store. Its been a good birthday. Even got rain and didn't have to water, lol.

Haase it is sitting by the fireplace in the livingroom. I think it was early in the morning and still dark lol. See, even IN the house I take pictures in the dark lol Rigo that is wonderful!!! Barb SO GLAD that the weather did not get bad. Oh I do not even wanna know that I am way up there lol. Or I might have to quit posting lol Shawn amazing what the camera brings out that the eye sometimes never gets to see, right :-) Theresa thanks for the name lol April that is hilarious and reminded me of DH when he goes shopping. He holds his hand under the coffee bean machine and eats them lol siam glad Theresa knew that it is a peace lily :-) I did find something new blooming today and I shall share it with you all now. Even though I fertilized and was not done until almost noon. Was so beat that I forgot to take pictures until just a few minutes ago. So the blooms are not as perky and colorful as early this morning. From Pictures for GW friends It is a NOID that I bought at Lowes last week. Thanks guys. Mary, that's only part of it..you should see the rest, lol. ALOT more hard work to come. Energy? HAHAHA!! I had absolutely none today, coffee didnt help at all..and my foot is bothering me again. Dog clipped me, I twisted my foot & fell on my hip about a month ago, (of course right in the mud, lol) and now every once in awhile it hurts so bad I can't even walk. So I didnt get to fill the preform today with soil for the lotus like I had wanted. All I managed to do was spray the brugs for bug prevention. Kristy, I can try..do you know when and how I should do it? It's not bushy, it just has the one main stem with all the buds at the top. From what I have read it will die down to the ground after first frost and return in the spring..So, if I cut it down to the ground in the fall, or even halfway..I can send you that to root? ya think? Or will that kill the roots? I will save seeds as well. My lotus pot is as deep as it is wide. Had it in a barrel liner at first, cuz I knew wider was better than deeper, but I just felt it wasnt deep enuf. I have half composted manure and half household compost mixed together. Only a thin layer of pea stones. I am using the Jobe's tomato spikes for feeding. I just stuck 3 more in there the other day. My feeder fish I put in there died. I cant get Gambusia here. That's too funny about the frog, I'm surprised the cops didnt show up, lol. Maybe mine hasnt bloomed yet cuz the weather hasnt been as hot as yours. I hope I get one soon. I'm just so curious why your leaves are shorter like that. Thanks Kylie! :)

Kristy the disk that was out of place was pushed against the syatic nerve,the Dr said he might have some numbness(sp)in his leg for a while but,I don't think Mike really knew what is was gonna be like,I do know he is having a time with it,he goes back to the Dr Monday so hopefully they will be able to tell more about it. Now Steph my DIL that just had the baby,is having some problems with her heart,she went to the Dr today and they told her it seems to be skipping a beat,she is only 25 years old,she has to go back on the 23rd for more test,so please pray for her. Please everybody don't get upset with me I have to talk to someone,and you guys really seem to care,but I am sorry if my post bothers anyone,I just can't seem to handle all this alone. Hugs Bonnie

sorry to hear about your daughter. On the other hand look at all the quality time you 2 can have! Don't no one try to hug me!!I am doing pretty good on my own,I have a job, a roof over my head 2 dogs 1 cat one husband one car a BIG pile of bills that I can't pay all at one time, wonderful people that are willing to listen to my whining!!and hopefully lots of plants plus honey bun is doing well enough (heart trouble). Lucy, how I can relate to your statement of "Just a mother's heart hurting for her child." Yesterday was also such a day for me. My DD was in a car accident. Thank God, she was not seriously injured, but her neck and back are hurting. The x-ray showed no broken bones. She was returning to the office from picking up lunch for my GKs, their friends and her colleagues when a lady came out of a side street trying to cross the street. My DD didn't have time to stop and pretty much hit the driver's side. Per the paramedics, the other lady was fine, but would also be sore. There was a fireman driving behind my DD so he witnessed that it was not my DD's fault. I found out about the accident at noon when my GD called asking if I had talked to her mom. At that point, there was very little information about the situation or even which hospital they took her to. Through times like this, all I can do is give thanks to my Lord for His mercies.

Lucy, I pray that your DD will find an even better job than she was working towards. I know you will enjoy having her around.

Life and it's surprises...good and bad. We got to take them how they are handed out.

Eloise I am SO glad that nothing serious happened....Just make sure DD documents all ...just in case she will end up with lots of medical bills ??!!!

As of now, she is going to stay there through February. It was THE job she looked for a long while. The Architect got the Award of the Year that they hand out to the best Architects. Oh well...there has to be a reason for all this.

...and I thought there would be less worrying about the kids somewhere along the way. Well that doesn't seem to be happening but all we can do is be supportive and provide plenty of hugs when 'life happens'.
Our youngest will also be returning to the nest next week.
Just remember, this big old ball will keep spinning and spring will be here before we know it.
E-hugs (and prayers sent up also)for all as we struggle through the cycles of life.

Thank you Lucy, Will and Ingrid. My 3 y.o. GD came and spent the night with me in order that mom and dad could rest. The night before, my DD was in so much pain that she couldn't sleep and hubby stayed up with her all night. Today after church, I took my grandbaby back home and dad opened the door right away and she called out, daddy!! They were so happy to see her you would have thought she had been gone for several days. My sil said, it was so quiet here without her (she is super hyper), LOL! Today, my DD felt slightly better, but has pain on her neck, back, chest and stomach. I know each day she will get better and better.

So sorry to hear about your daughters Lucy and Eloise. I am glad to hear that it is not dire and despret news. Life does happen and all we can do is take it one day at a time, with all the love and support we can get from family, loved ones and freinds. You both have my prayers and love. Life WILL get better. It always does.
