Re: larkspur gentian blue

I first bought this from valueseeds in my first WSing year, 2006. It seemed to put out new growth in fall and rebloom the next year. Vera insisted that they are annuals and I had to be seeing new volunteers popping up, so I accepted that. But ever since, I do have a few reseeds pop up around the plant, but it always seems to put out new growth in fall from the old plants, too. (I still have them and valueseeds still carries them, too, for 99 cents).

Last week while doing garden clean-up I yanked one that seemed to be putting out new growth again. Sure enough, that tender fresh new foliage is arising from the old plant. They ARE perennial.

New growth is coming from around the sides. You can also see the old, thick stems and dead wood. But the new growth is coming right out of it
