You might try Telos Rare Bulbs, Bulbmeister and Park Seed/Wayside Garden. They will be rather expensive wherever you find them. About $10 per bulb (+ S&H)seems to be the going price. Rb

I did a Google search and found these messages in another forum. Hope it helps, K I grow them here in Central Illinois, in zone 5b, but I do grow them in a pot. I take the pot outdoors when all danger of frost has passed, and I bring them in before the weather gets chilly, in late summer. Most of the time, I grow them as a houseplant. The bulbs I have right now are young, so haven't bloomed yet... but I expect them to flower this year. I treat them very similar to most of my other amaryllids. It's possible to grow tender bulbs in northern gardens, as long you bring them in before the weather gets cold. ---- I grow them here in the ground with no trouble. I live right on the line of zone5/6. They are on the south side of my deck in some shade. They multiply fast so I dig some and move them every other year. I know one other lady who grows them here and they are in the sun. Dig and move when the foliage disappears. I never dig and bring them in in the fall. They don't like to be disturbed, somewhat like the naked ladies.

Lycoris radiata grows wild in south Louisiana. Louisiana natives call them naked ladies, though some folks in the above discussion seem to reserve that name for a different species. I live in New Orleans (transplanted from upstate New York over 30 years ago), so "naked ladies" seemed appropriate. I picked up some bulbs from a local nursery as an experiment, about 15 years ago, getting several varieties. The only name we recognized was Narcissus, but we didn't really pay a lot of attention to the names. I now have Lycoris radiata, three different varieties of Narcissus/paperwhites, and Freesias. I thought you were suppose to dig them up each year after the leaves died back, and was puzzled that one type produced attractive foliage, but never seemed to bloom. I was too busy to dig them up one year, and was startled by the beautiful flowers that appeared that September. After looking online, I was able to identify them as spider/hurricane lilies. It wasn't until a neighbor saw the blooms that I was introduced to the more colorful "naked ladies" name. My nephew, whose father apparently let them grow wild in the lawn in Houma. LA as an excuse not to mow for part of the year, immediately recognized the foliage, and said "Oh, you've got naked ladies! They were my Dad's favorite." I can confirm that they can be fickle about blooming. In recent years I have had most of them in pots (sort a mobile container garden - I would bring whatever was in bloom out by the front steps and rotate them back when they were done). In any particular year I might get only a few flowers, or like last year, dozens of them.
