Wanting to plant host plants for butterflies/Houston area

I planted milkweed last year for monarchs, and my whole family enjoyed watching them grow. (Well, the ones that weren't eaten by the wasps. :( )

I'd like to branch out and plant host plants for a couple of other varieties. What plants would be my best chance for this area? No trees, please. :)

I've done some research and have found lists of several butterflies and host plants that grow in this area, but I was wondering which butterflies are actually more common in this area?

Thanks so much!

Jo
