I'd been given a D. under the name Jerva Cava (giver brought it back from the Caribbean), which I think was really Contra Jerva, based on pic. Anyway, I consider it a thirsty succulent (like Euph milii), while seemingly succulent, they want a lot of water. It had a caudex, but also a thickish stem. I grew it a couple of years, it bloomed which was interesting, but it also spits seeds all over into other pots. Even tho' I had it on a pebble tray & watered it often (at least twice a week, sometimes more), I could never keep up the watering, eventually I gave it away.

I've never tried but with that many cuttings and enough heat and humidity some might strike roots...but the bigger question to me is, even if they root, will the plant still be able to grow the characteristic fat stem? With some Pachyform plants, cuttings do not take on the same growth forms as the parent plant. Sometimes this can only be achieved with seed. x

They dont know where they're from and they dont have a memory either To mean: Not always do the rules of thumb appply they dont all or always have to grow the "exact" same way it's native mother did every year in different cultivating areas I dont think there is to much to worry because yours aren't doing what the native aren't doing what the native growing Dorstenia is doing. Look at the bright side your inside condidtions are different and maybe more ideal than the native growing areas. Yes, unfortunatly they could surprise you one day while being overwatered during a sudden dormant time (being deader lookng than you may want) The growth to doramat stage for some of them can be faster than others. Nice Dorstenia collection as well.
