I have Angelina Sedum and Red Heart (Hens and Chicks) that I would like to exchange for regular perennials or Sedum that acts similarly. I live in a zone4/5 area.

We bought some varieties, though, with the understanding that they were going provide a bit of green as part of that mix. Hence our frustration. You say there is a link between season and the degree of red or green in the plants. May I ask what that correspondence is? (i.e., is it autumn/winter brings out the red, ... or... ?) And when you mention the influence of the "container", are you refering to the type of soil in the container? (pH, or specific nutrients?)

I am just starting out. I have one green hens& chicks that was not properly started, my friend literally broke the stem off the mother plant and then put it into some dirt. and I have a panda plant succulent that seems to be doing fantastic. I would like some variations of hens&chicks or some other small succulents. I have a large South West facing balcony and windows. I obviously don't have much to trade but I can pay a little bit if someone is willing to help me out?
