I need some new ideas- what's on YOUR list this year?

I decided to defrag my gardens. Lots of stuff that just got too tall for my liking, or I'm just bored with. Out it went.

Got any new ideas for me? I'm sorta starting from scratch in many places around the garden beds...lots of free space.

I kept a couple of nice patches of nice fat shasta-daisies, and always like Melampodium, so I'll start those in a different spot this year...

Not too keen on the 'ferny' and 'wiry' varieties such as Knautia...Coreopsis is a stalwart, and will stay, but I'm bored with it.

This happens every year in Sept- I get bored, start shovel-pruning and moving stuff around. I love a cottage-garden look, but it seems to have gotten outta control this year and I didn't tend to it like I should have.

I'm gonna go browse the galleries to see what-all everyone's got planted and see what else I can come up with. Meantime, feel free to toss out some ideas for what you have that you think everyone should have!

Thanks!
