Hmm.... my local Lowe's have only a couple of half dead hydrangeas (Forever & Ever) and Limelight on sale. They are so sad that I did not want to even revive them... then everything else is still regular price... mind you, I did buy a one-gallon My Monet Weigela for just over $3 there last week! OK, that was not a hydrangea... LOL Home Depot has not been carrying any healthy looking hydrangea for some years around here now... sad...

Yes, all the stores got a mess of new, very healthy trees. And A great buy if you want to just take a big gamble on a Red Haven peach (one of the hardier ones) or a Sweet gum (Liquidambar sp.) VERY nice Kieffer pears (hardy), but I didn't see any other pears to pollinate them.

WOW! I'm not a fan of modern art, but I am drawn to the 2nd one, and I'm positive that my BF would *LOVE* it. Wish I could find it here for a price like you paid! Re school art: at my high school the walls were hand-painted by various (gifted) students over the years. The oldest painting is a huge wall mural of the famous local Revolutionary War battle that was fought here -- painted more than 55 years ago! I never thought about it, but my paintings still remain on the councelor's office walls! I did a lot of custom art and crafts work back then. One of my murals also stands on a local business wall. Wish I had more time for it now. Perhaps you could suggest that idea to the Art Dept. at the school?!
