Warning to the WS of tomato & store bought plants

I had to pull up a tomato plant and severly cut some of my other plants. The one I had to pull was a store bought tomato plant I had to pull it because it was infected with the late season blight that another gardenwebber had posted about earlier this season.

I had made sure that I cut off all of the branches and stems that were touching the bad plant so as not to pass it along. And all of the bad stuff went into the trash.

Hopefully I had caught the problem before it did any real and lasting damage to my other tomatos. Plus I also read online that it could also infect the ground as well. So is there anyway I can treat the area where I have the tomato planted now later in the season to make sure that next year I don't have the infection going on again.

Check your tomatos if you bought any store bought tomato plants.

But the store bought cherry tomatos that are in a different area have no signs of late season blight just this one single plant.

It was a better Bush I think.
