Upright fuchsia like that Coralle or Gardenmeister? They are so beautiful along the beds that I would love to have more. I know you can take cutting but there are seeds behind the flowers. Thanks in advance, Sybil

Sybil, I've sown the hardier Fuchsia magellanica and those germinate well, but the recommended temp for sowing them is 40.

I think the two Fuchsia triphylla you mention are more tender than the magellanicas, and both are hybrids, not sure what colors/types you might get from seed - but why don't you try, then let us know how they germinate.

Yes, on Sarrcenia and Dionea. It worked perfectly on both aphids and spider mites with no negitive effects on my plants. I used Orthene as directed.

Honestly, if you are a beginner, you would be better off with an all-one-color pattern to develop your skills. You could be practicing ribbing, cables, basketweave for example. There are a million fun patterns, even some that you work in an image. The last one I did was an owl, and it was very cute and fun to do. Did you join ravelry.com? You should. As much as I love GardenWeb, Ravelry is super-active with hundreds of patterns and forums to help you which have more traffic than here.
