Hopi Red Dye Amaranth is taking over the world!!

Okay, maybe just my driveway... but what do I do with this stuff?

I can craft, I can (sort of) cook/bake. Are there recipes or things I can do with the heads of these? I'll post a picture later, but these big boys grew fast and tall, and then flopped onto the driveway (drought tolerant definitely, but mine need staking and I don't stake). I love the color, but they need a different place next year.

Can I dry the flower heads now, and if so how long will they stay intact? I will have to remove most of it before it sets seed, but hopefully some will be left. If not, I did save back a little in case of germination failure (lol, I think I got 100% germination). Thanks in advance.

Terri :-)
