Kate, your post didn't list the number of feet. Thansk for the input, everyone. Maybe I will leave it where it is this year to see what it does first. Assuming it is not too hard to move when it is 2 years old. When I googled it I saw a picture in someoneÂs garden where they had harnessed it into being tall and thin with double plant rings. ThatÂs something that could work too in that place in my garden. ItÂs more the spread IÂm concerned about, as my garden is an island bed and there is no more horizontal space. I planted it as a backdrop for some wine-colored daylilies, but whether it will bloom at the same time I have no clue.

Thanks to tomva and a few others, here are the seeds I'll be sowing: Life - Kolkwitzia amabilis/Beauty bush Remembrance - Cornus kousa/white flowering dogwood Mother Nature - Acer palmatum/Japanese red maple Leap of Faith - Crocosmia/Montbretia 'Lucifer' It's supposed to chill down the next week or so with daytime temps staying in the low 40's so I'm going on the assumption it'll be in the 30's by the solstice. I'm too close to Z5 to relax when it comes to growing things that are hardy only to Z6 but with winter sowing, I know they've got a much better chance. Anybody else planning to dance nekkid?
