Beautiful! I hope I can get some seed for Yvonne's Salvia. It's so pretty.

My Yvonne's salvia wants some sun. The tallest just reached the top of my 4 ft. fence. These pics were taken about a week ago.

Those Salvia (Karen's too!) look better than mine for sure! Karen do you do some pinching early on? I pinched out a few of mine later into the season but yours are so full and bushy compared to mine. Also can't figure out why I am getting so many yellowing leaves; it's seems I'm constantly having to pull them off. I'm wondering if I'm over-watering since they are so close to my Hibiscus?

Tom, you and I were complaining about a month or two about our castor beans. LOL. Now, your castor bean is quite tall. :D Great job buddy!!!

Oh, what did you put to make it grow fast?

That one got nothing more than year old leaf mulch over clay soil. The ones I fertilized with high nitrogen content aren't half the size or have nearly as many blooms. It gets partial sun, mostly afternoon. This is the one that was blown over in the storm a few weeks back. I staked it with metal conduit. It's grown at least another 2 feet since then and has bloomed two more times. They do like the heat of our summers.

Vera, I did pinch the growing tips of some when they were pretty small. Mine get a lot of yellow leaves too, not sure why but we've had a heck of a lot of rain and clouds and colder weather this year.

I started the Yvonn's salvia inside this year.

I'm going to try planting 3 castor beans in triangle shape about 8" apart next year. :D

yours look great. I don't know what happened to mine.
I have only salvaged one, and it is only an inch high.
They were WS in april. Pretty bummed.

They may just require a dose of fertilizer. But my
other WS flowers and DS flowers are doing good.
Mondarda, Lemon Balm, all on the tiny side.
Maybe the cooler temps. Dunno.

Neil, do it about a foot apart. That's what I did. The fastest growing one is declared the winner. I didn't pull the others though. There are 4 total in that clump, one is a red.
