Your favorite WS blooms for arrangements?

I'll admit it...one of the main reasons I garden (and WS) is that I LOVE fresh flowers in the house. Just getting to the point in the season that I live for - when I can walk out through the beds and in just a few minutes make some fabulous arrrangements for vases. Staples for me are:

zinnias

tall argeratum

yarrow

rudbeckia

purple coneflower

purple, pink and (new this year) yellow butterfly bush

Tall Snaps (finally finally finally WS'd these "right" and pinched complusively to get thick enough stems)

Verbena Bon.

What else do you grow that works well in a vase?

Tonight I tried an experiment.... Snipped off small bunches of open 4oclocks for a short vase. This is the first year I am growing them (love them) and I'd just been assuming they would not do well in water, but I decided to try it and see. 5 hours now and they look OK...we'll see!

So...what are your favorites?

Nancy
