Please ID yet another Bamboo

Hi all,

Just had #1 husband dig this up at an Aunt's house. She has large amounts in hugh clumps, does not appear to be a runner. Culms are about 16 to 18 feet by 1 1/2 inch and it almost has a blue tint on some of the newer culms. It is a beauty and we were thrilled to get several clumps to spread around our yard.

No one seems to know the name and it has been there many years.

If ya'll would take a look and let me know who you think this one is.

A good guess considering the persistant culm sheaths. Could we get a picture of the leaves as well?

Carol, I have Pickering's Four Seasons so know it's not the same. catspa, eureka! I think you found it. Baron de Bonstatten wasn't listed when I bought it but is available this year and I actually have it on reserve. It's a fantastic rose even with my conditions. Says it can be grown as a climber too. Hi everyone, Fran I also have Weilbachii forma pendula but this is a very different plant. It's much tougher and has a very stiff upright inflorescence and the berries stay for months and months. It also tolerates strong sun much better. Blue Heeler and Vriesea, you're both smarter than me; when I tried to join GW I tore my hair out trying to work out why GW wouldn't accept my post code and then someone suggested I add a '0' to one end of it and the rest is history. Yes - I am happy with that purchase...I was looking for conophytums though but they seem in short supply here in Toronto - but happy with what I got..I did get another plant when I got this and was wondering if someone could identify it? hopefully some type of Euphorbia?

Looks like Arundo Donax, which is not a bamboo. As mentioned above, a picture of the leaves/stems would be helpful.

Sorry, lense kept fogging up. I'm pretty sure it's the reed and not bamboo as I had hoped. I do like it however and will leave where it is planted,
