Congrats on the rain. Hopefully our monsoon season will start shortly. The farmer's almanac says it should be a wet one this year. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Wet with no lightning!!! We don't need the forest fires!!

Oh that is awesome Kristi! Your story was narrated so perfectly, it was like being there in the excitement! I wish lots more rain showers your way...and yours too, Ryan! No forest fires either!

We have just been getting drenched here...sometimes it rains for several days it seems...right Alana? It sure is nice not to have to water, but I'm afraid all the plants will get too used to it and then it will dry up...fingers crossed that doesn't happen!

You can have our rain.....tons, and tons of it and until the past couple of days we were lucky to make it in to the high 70s.....total bummer of a summer so far......I've already sprayed Captan twice to try to get a handle on the fungus aka rust which is a big problem here in western PA every summer.....I spray maybe 4-6 times during the summer.....hopefully we will get our typical drought in July and Auguest......nothing like a crisp lawn that never needs mowing :o) Dan

We're quite saturated, as well... and this week, temps are in the 90s and muggy! The tree frogs are happy... I am not!

Powdery mildew and black spot are beginning to show up on some roses and perennials, but I've been feeding with a systemic, so that should help.

I'm so glad you got your much needed rain, Kristi! If I'd known you needed it earlier, I'd have sent everything we're getting! ;-)

Imagine... aside from container plants, I haven't had to water once!

The weeds are gaining ground, however, and are impossible to keep up with!

We just got a major thunderstorm here... I just got home and despite having a roof over my patio, ALL of my plants have been shred to bits. I'm numb.... I can't believe they're so beat up. I don't even know what will survive yet because I can't look at it. I just can't believe it.

Oh Ryan, I hope your plants survive. It's really sad to see your beloved plants in that condition.

Well...Ryan, plants are tough survivors. Just ask Chaz. Recall last year the neighbor didn't water his plants and they all sizzled (sounds like an episode of "Harper's Island")! Well, when I saw him last month, his yard was glorious!! They will recover slowly! DID YOU HAVE HAIL TOO!?
