Is it Agave americana or Agave tequilana your looking for. I've heard both referred to as "Blue" but the americana is more commonly referred to as "Century"

Well, now I'm a bit confused myself. Searching the web for Agave americana turned up results for plants that have green with yellow veriegated leaves, and others with a blueish-gray leaf. Depending on the site, I see both being called Century plants.

The type I'm looking for is the blue-gray variety like shown in this link.

The image is the "americana" and yes there is both the blue and yellow variegated type.
I have 2 or 3 in 10 gallon containers and a few in 5's. They've been tossed out in the back of the nursery and forgotten so I don't think their in very good looking shape. Once they get in the ground they grow out fairly fast. Your welcome to look and see if you like.

Make room for these agave, they grow to 10 - 12 feet in diameter.

With all the building here they can't grow them fast enough. I bet you will pay over $100.- and more likely $150.- for nice large ones.

P.S. I don't think if you have small children you want them around. They have needle like ends on their branches however some people have been known to cut the tips off.
