So one doesn't see what their Petunia looks like after a hair cut..lol. Actually, pruning Petunias is a great idea. They're beautiful, frangrant plants, but by July look ugly..I don't like degrading any plant, but the truth is, they look like dead twigs. I dead-head, but it's not enough..I didn't even buy Petunias this spring, even though they're one of my favorite annuals. However, I have a small section in front. When I go shopping, I'll see if they have any left. Now I know what needs doing. Thanks. Mike, Accents plants go fast. In the beginning, my favorite time to order from Accents was autumn. Roots and foliage had he entire summer to grow larger. Nowadays, his plants go fast. Why not drop him a line? Ask if he'll have Aglaia and African Gardenia in this year. Another fine nursery is Almost Eden Plants. His specimens are a little more money, but they're quite large. The last time I checked AE's site, many plants were marked down. Can't hurt to try, you know? WARNING: Ebay is addicting, lol. Once you're on Ebay's home page, type the first name of the plant in the Search Window. To the right is a drop down window. Click on 'home and garden.' Hit Enter. Dave's Garden is another place to check. They don't sell plants, but list people who want and have 'X' plants for sale. Again, it never hurts to try. Dave's also has a section called Garden Watchdog. They list nurseries from A-Z, and feedback for each nursery. There's also a Search button. Type in the name of the plant you're looking for, and up pops several nurseries that 'might' have 'X' plant available.. There's all types of ways locating a plant.. :) Toni

Watch out for second chance offers, too. I got one once for a JD 214 that I didn't win, saying the original seller had backed out, and my $700 bid was now the high end. I was more than a little suspicious when the seller said he would not charge me for shipping, so I contacted the seller through ebay.com, and gave my phone number. She called me within about three hours saying the tractor had been sold and picked up, don't pay this person a dime, and report him. I sent him a polite but honest email telling him what a low-life drain on society he was, which I'm sure he promptly deleted, but it made me feel better. His email was from kred.com, which I guess allows anyone to set up anonymous accounts, like hotmail. The lesson in the end is that like Castoff said, if ebay or an ebay user wants to get in touch with you, they'll do it through ebay.com, not from some random email account, directly to your personal email account. Also, if it looks too good to be true, it is. No one's going to ship a tractor at a cost of $450 when the sale price is only $700. They also won't sell a three-year-old name-brand CUT with a loader and backhoe for the buy-it-now price of $2,500. Buyer beware!

Warning - Most of the listing on Ebay (of PS) are not licensed copies, meaning you can not upgrade or register them. Also, some of these pirated copies will work for a few months, then all of a sudden you can't execute them. I purchased a copy almost two years ago for $250. Asked the seller if it was an authentic, registerable copy with a valid serial number and I was told yes (of course I was!!). I received the copy and it looked authentic. As soon as I got it I called Adobe to check out the serial number for legitamacy. I was told it was not in their system as being an authentic copy so therefore I could not register it. I did this twice to ensure they were correct. I contacted the seller and explained my findings. After going back and forth, I finally filed a complaint with PayPal and won. I warned the seller that I would keep the copy if he did not reply with his confirmed return address (twice). He never did so I kept the copy. I was refunded in full from PayPal. I believe the seller got a bundle of copies from another country. While this copy has been running fine for me to this day, I can not register it for future upgrades. I'm a self taught graphic designer, and still learning PS too so I like to update my software every few years. Just a word of warning if Ebay is offering it for less than $550.00, it's more than likely a pirated copy. I learned the hard way and won't buy software from Ebay again. You can purchase through the training program a student version for a fraction of the price - usually $150 or so. Worth checking out.

That is true,Ebay can't help you, but...."Paypal" can! If the problem has not been resolved within 7 days(there is a time limit for filing, 30 days), file with Paypal and they will make a decision, they just reverse the charges, you get everything YOU paid, even shipping. I've had 2 disputes, both ended this way. If the product is misrepresented Paypal is very forgiving!
