Amaryllis propogation question

I am currently waiting on my amaryllis seed pod to open up. It is my second attempt to get them from seed. The first time I only got to plants to start. Though I think it was because I didn't really think about doing the pollinating. This time I actually moved some of the pollen myself to a few of the blooms.. The plant did quite well considering it had to be dug and placed in a pot temporarily. Hopefully I'll be able to get it back in the ground soon. Last year it only had one flower stalk. This time it made to and has a couple of large seed pods on it.

I'm hoping to get better results this time. The question is:

Since, the plant is self pollinated, would the new plants end up being the same color?

I have had the plant for about 3 years or so. It was purchased at Walmart, one of those in a box kinda things.

Not the best picture it was starting to get dark and I had to use the porch light.

Also, if anyone happens to have the name for it?
