I just got back from a garden tour of italy, and just about everything that flowers is put in a pot, not in the ground (that's reserved for veggies). It looks gorgeous now, but I wonder about in August after a few misses on twice daily watering, etc. Sue

Thanks for your input. I can't find anywhere in the lease that says how much time they have to give us but I'm still digging. I'm not going to call them on it but I want to be prepared the next time they call. Maybe the scenario today will deter them from doing it again though cuz the place is a mess (finals week at school for me plus we've both been sick) and I refuse to let them in the bedroom when he's sleeping. And I was in my night shirt with my hair dripping wet when I answered the door. Ha ha! Yeah, the couple didn't stay long at all. I'm just waiting for someone to ask me again though how I like living here because I'll tell them EXACTLY what I think this time. Last time I tried to be neutral about it but that was before we were accused of harassment for complaining about the excessive noise upstairs and now this junk. Thanks again!

Did you end up putting in the Jamaica bottom? This is one of our choices and we are also afraid it might be too dark. Any pictures would be really appreciated. Thank you!
