I got several cultivars, like Flame (orangy-red), aethiopica (white species), pink, white with pink blush, yellow, purple, and peachy colored one. These were like 2 tubers for $3.00 in a package. I felt them all to make sure they were firm and not dessicated tubers. When I opened them to plant, they were all great tubers, and already sprouting. Susan

This year (in April), for the first time I planted seven Calla Lily tubers. For references, I live in Southern California close to the Coast. Six of my seven tubers did produce foliage and flowers. The last one did not make it. Lately, I have noticed that a couple of plants have lost all their foliage whereas the others have not. So here are my questions: - should I expect (as it is usually the case with bulbs) a total die-back of my plants at this time of the year? - should I dig up the tubers and replant them next year? Yes, the white one is called aethiopica. A catalog listed it as 2'-3' ft. Well, I have seen a white one at a nursery in southern California. It was much taller than I am and I am 4' 11"! I wonder if it was a different variety.
