This is my third year for Jethro Tull and I added some Early Sunrise. None do well, and like you, I'm ready to just say that coreopsis doesn't work in my garden. They come back puny each spring, bloom fine once and then peter out. We have also had very humid hot weather, so perhaps that is the reason. I also have had a terrible time with Gallardia hybrids. They just droop and act daily as if they were starving for water. My cousin who also lives here also complains about the constant droop. Funny, ten years ago when I moved here, my mother's yard had two old volunteering plants: gallardia and some wild daisy. With time, all the gallardia have disappeared. Wonder if you can get heirloom types? I do have a large clump of the daisies yet going strong. Back to the coreopsis: it could be the soil, the light, the weather--any of those things. All I know is that they are being moved to a different location for next year, and if that doesn't work, they will be out and gone.

Sure I will. :) The 4 types I transplanted a week ago(calendula, pink hollyhock, shasta daisy and rudbeckia irish eyes) are all doing well even after a heavy rain and a 3 nightly 30F-35F. However, 1 seedling of calendula didn't make it. I knew it wouldn't because all the potting mix around the root got disturbed so much. The cotyledons was also very small during that the time of transplanting. I will take many pictures. Hopefully, I'll be able to plant some today. Thanks again.

Fantastic list of seeds! I think it is just great that you have focused your life on nature at such a young age. I too would love to have 10 (maybe 5) acres someday to plant a wonderland of natives plants, and am already doing that on 1.25 acres. Difference is, my interest didn't come into sharp focus until age 45. :) There are quite a few seeds on this list I am interested in, and I checked your want list and I have a few on that list. Maybe we can do a trade this fall? Just a note - on your want list is Cynanchum louiseae - this is an extremely invasive non-native vine that is becoming a serious problem in the Northeast US. And it has the additional problem that Monarch butterflies will "sense" it is in the Milkweed family, lay eggs on it, and then it will kill the caterpillars because it is toxic to Monarch larvae.
