I love Eagles! I call my apartment here in Denver the Eagle's Nest cuz we're on the top floor....and only an Eagle would make the trip short work...I on the other hand am winded despite training for a triathlon!

I checked the camera and didn't see much but I'll check back.

Very interesting, Kristi... I've seen Owl and Hawk babies, but never a Bald Eagle... how majestic! It's dark at the moment, so the cam is only showing the night, but it will be fun viewing tomorrow!

Ryan...the "eagle's nest". Hmmm...interesting! My father flew recon in WWII and he took photos of Hitler's "eagle's nest". I still have all the photos that he had in his possession. Would love to find a suitable home for them, a museum, or???

When it's dark, the cameras are dark. Check during the daylight. I think I caught her feeding a chick yesterday!

It's getting light out... I can see her sitting... she's sort of preening herself, and checking underneath in the nest! She's rearranging some nesting materials... this is very interesting to watch!

She's beautiful. It's very exciting to think about... here sits one of our national treasures, warming a clutch of babies... it's got to be sort of cold and windy where she's at, and yet... there she sits, the devoted mother. :-)

I actually caught her mate bringing her something to eat yesterday! I couldn't tell what it was, but I could clearly see him land on the edge of the nest and interact with her for a moment... then he flew off again. I'm assuming he brought her a freshly killed rodent or something similar.

It's extremely interesting to watch, though Larry tells me it eats up our bandwidth, so I can't leave it up in a tab to watch on a constant basis. I will be checking in from time to time, though!

I caught her turning the eggs this afternoon. Thought one would have hatched by now, but she is still very attentive!! Wonder if she can hear the chicks in the eggs?

We check on her every day... and today, Larry told me that she holds her wings out a bit because she feels movement within her eggs! So, hatching should take place very soon!

It looks like she's done a little more nest improving, too... today, there appears to be more soft grasses than there was a day ago... so, I think her mate is bringing more materials to her. At least, that's how is appears.

It's fascinating, Kristi! I'm so glad you posted this! Larry and I both check on her from time to time... at least once or twice a day!

They've just posted a notice that the eggs' incubation may not have really started til the 2nd or even 3rd egg. Guess many were concerned that nothing hatched on the 15th! Just caught her rearranging the eggs. She pushed them to the other end of the nest for the night. Probably so she wouldn't be head on into the wind for the night. Temps are in the high 70s there. Perfect weather to hatch!!

Doggone it! I missed it! I've been so busy that I've only had time to catch her for a few seconds here and there... and of course, it's dark there now... wouldn't you know it! I'll be sure to make time to look more often today... maybe I can catch a glimpse! It's really exciting! Mother Nature is so incredible...
