When I saw your post, I immediately thought of the newest issue of Better Homes and Gardens. They have a section dedicated to palettes. The reddish brown town they have pictured is BM Raisin. The colors they've picked to "go" are: BM Natural Wicker OC-1 - "A warm neutral for large pieces." Jamaican Aqua 2048-60 "Adds the pop. Match small upholstered pieces and pillows to this hue." Raisin 1237 "Try this reddish brown on trim, using a semigloss finish." Porter Ranch Cream 148 "With a hint of peach, this cream takes the starkness out of white ceilings." Intense Peach 081 "A warm shade that's like a comforting blanket on walls. If you're color-shy, limit it to a feature wall." Also, Benjamin Moore is coming out with full spectrum paints (like Ellen Kennon). They've only got it available at 5 retailers now, but will be rolling it out this year. I'll post a link. Good Luck! I can tell you what not to use and that is BM....The interior trim paint is terrible....will not lay down....looks like painted with steel bristle brush......Took three coats to cover on some colors....My garage doors (6) has got to be repainted as they were beige to match the vinyl trim and now they are faded to a light green.....I changed to Porter paint halfway through the painting and very happy with it. The BM dealer wouldn't even come look at my problem.....

I would wait until I had the comforter on my bed to make a decision. If you notice from the two pictures, it looks very different depending on what the seller put it with - green blankets or burgundy blankets. When you get the comforter put it on the bed and stand at the entrance. What color do you see first? If you want a soft harmonious look go with the color you see from across the room. You can also do this with your paint chips. Stand across the room hold a paint chip at arms length against the fabric and close one eye. Sometimes if you pick an accent color out of the fabric to use for paint there is so little of that color in the fabric that the color on the wall screams at you instead of acting like a nice quiet background.

I think Burnt Sienna they sell is the Glidden BS but my understanding is that they are one in the same, that ICI and Glidden are now soulmates in corporate amurika :-) It is such a gorgeous color. It looks like it has been baked on the walls. We used the PeptoBismol pink primer and 2 coats of BS. I wish I could have that color again but you know we live, we change and we move on and look back.
