I have soapwort and pink turtle head (chelone). My dutchman's pipe has not sprouted, and I didn't plant the others. I would definitely give them more time.

No primula yet, and I am in zone 7. However, the seeds for those are from T&M and Value Seeds. Not the best germination luck with those companies. I haven't planted the others.

I have purchased primula or primrose seeds the last 3 years from value seeds, expecting somthing anything! to germinate, nada, zilch , zip.. nothing this year, I will keep it until june 1st, my usual its over day..

Ive been thinking about trying some from a different source next year.

My primulas were late sprouting compared to the other perennials but definitely showed up a few weeks ago. They are tiny things. I don't have any of the others.

I just have self-sown sprouts from Blue Sea Holly in the garden. I would say given the looks of them that they probably germinated no later than a month ago.
I didn't sow any of the others you mentioned.

I will wait a bit longer,it is going to rain tonight,again, maybe this will help them sprout, even though they ae kept moist, seems the rain does help.
I will report back when i get some sprouts.
I'm glad some of you have sprouts from some of these,it is so exciting when that happens.

I harvest fresh sea holly and then summer sow it.

Maybe my soap wort is no good,same with the sea holly, i bought the sea-holly from T&M, they were not cheep either.
I actually have quite a few things that have not sprouted as of yet,but then, i have a lot that have,:0)

put your primulas in cool corner, they won't germinate when temps are high.

Soapwort, yes. Primula (also got from T&M), zilch. In fact, my soapwort needs planting out, and the ones wintersown last year are full of buds and are beginning to flower.

Soapwort yes. Dutchman's pipe vine, no. I w/s'd and direct sowed and got nothing. Seeds were purchased from value seeds.com. Yeah, I know.

Primulas,in a cool corner, ha ha, wouldn't you know, i just placed them out into the sun a couple of days ago, i will move them again, thank you, i didn't know this.Oh, so much to learn.:0)
And the Sea Holly,a big disappointment,it better do something,has any one every gotten money back from seeds that do not germinate?

The only plant I have on your list is Soapwort. I've transplanted them 3 weeks ago. I think, I winter sowed them mid-January or early February.

I have sprouts from eryngium too. Lots of E. agavefolium. I'm going to be in Aurora on Saturday, how far are you from there? And I could dig up lots of soapwort plants (it's not Rock Soapwort), would you want it?

I have lots of primrose, both pink and white, but no soapwort. Interesting that Linda says primulas need a cool corner, that's all I have!! No wonder they're doing so well! Lots of shade, concrete below me and above me... lousy patio!

I will have fresh Sea Holly seeds later on this season. Each year I post a SASBE offer. No reason to pay for expensive seeds that do not germinate.

My soapwort (the trailing, ocymoides type) did not flower it's first year. It filled itself out quite nicely, but I had no idea this stuff was so vigorous! I have it planted around my daylilies and it's pretty much hiding the foliage. I'll have to take a picture when the rain stops to show you the clump that's about halfway to full bloom.

And I guess I'll move my primula jug in a cool, shady corner on my back porch and see if that'll get them to sprout.

Last year I ws'd Aristilochia tomentosa (Dutchmans pipevine) - soaked seeds and sowed on Feb 20th, first sprouted on May 14th. They sprouted on the later side and eventually I got about 6 sprouts. Now there are 5 small plants in pots - because I can't figure out where to plant them yet. In my experience the perennial vines are slow growers though.

good to know that they are vigorous growers, I'm trying to decide where to put them. That will be a factor.

I do have Primula sprouts...the candelabras and one that I think begins with a "d" (I'd have to go out and look to see the name, but it's raining and windy right now).

I haven't had the greatest luck with WSed Primula's germinating early, but for some reason, they did great this year. In the past, they've either germinated in mid to late summer, and then I overwintered them indoors where they bloomed in the Spring inside.

The or is, the didn't germinate at all until after I brought them indoors for the winter. So my sense is, on the one hand, they need a longer time to germ.
But why these germinated early, I do not know (although perhaps it's because the others were auricula and these are not?)
