Karen, a female flower in general will always have an ovary inside the flower or behind it that develops into the fruit once pollinated. Ovaries are of course absent in male flowers. But Aluvaboy says he's never had to worry about the sex of the plant so I'm hoping I don't either. Maybe the plants are capable of producing unfertilized fruit where the seed contained within is simply sterile, or maybe all the information on them is just incorrect. To play it safe If I can find vines that don't have ovaries behind the flowers , I'll have to snatch some up.
