cleome seedling pic request

Hi everyone. I couldn't find a good cleome seedling pic on the internet. I would like to ask if someone can post their pic of the cleome seedling that is between 1" to 3" tall.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can take one this evening and post it later if no one else already has one. I have a bunch of them that self-sowed.

Thank you all for your replies. I do finally have cleome. The seedlings have started coming up and from the pics I finally found and those that were shown to me, they are cleome. Thank goodness. Now, Please tell me anything you would advise. I want these so bad and want to ensure I care for them right. I'd love to see some pics of your seedlings just to compare with mine. What are you all doing with yours? How are you caring for them now and what is your plan for future care? I know they say full sun, but any advice as to partial shade etc... I'm new to all of this and just want to do everything just right. Mine are in pots now, and not sure when I need to transplant them. I'm so nervous.

#3 looks like common weeds i battle everyday .. purslane and maybe chickweed ... there is a NAME THAT PLANT forum.. and they are real good over there.... one suggestion ...too many pix in one post ... try just 2 .. and then 2 or 3 posts ....... too much rolling up and down.. now that you have a few responses ... hope i counted the pix right.. so you know which i am referring too ... try popsickle sticks with pencil notations when you scatter seed ... they will NOT overwinter... but they help later in the summer... i also use... garbage picked mini blinds.. with plain carbon pencil .... last a few years .. good luck ken

Fran, your seedlings are very cute, but aren't they lupines? I can actually see your label in the last one. Neil is looking for cleome.

these are the correct pics. the spots on the leaves are from a very hungry chipmunk that seems to like the cleome seedlings this year.

Fran, great pics. The ones I have are a little taller. You know what I think would be helpful? If we set up a place in the gallery with seedling pics.

The idea of a seedling pic area in the gallery would be wonderful!! I'm sure I have pulled baby plants that I've confused with weeds. I planted so many things I've never grown before and have no idea what they are supposed to look like. I imagine many new WSers would appreciate this resource. Debby

Trudi has a pretty good galery of them on the wintersown site. And so does the seed site.

Lupines are easy to ID- they look like wacky tobacky.

I think a gallery of seedling pics is a great idea.

Karen, Trudi does have a good gallery of them on her site and the seed site has quite a few as well.

Problem is this.

seed site doesn't have all the seedlings you might want to find and not everyone knows about the site.

A gallery of seedling pics on the conversation side of WS forum, would have the pics right here for all to see and others can add pics to the thread.

I will start a post on the gallery side with the pics that I have.

Now that I've seen the Cleome seedlings I can weed the side of the driveway where I scattered those seeds last Fall.

The sprouts I've been watching definitely aren't Cleome!

More weeds. :(
