    QUESTION
    hOW DO YO PLANT TURMERIC?
cAN YOU PLSNT THE ONES SOLD IN ORIENTAL MARKETS?

i USUALLY BUY THEM, DRY THEM AND GROUND THEM. mUCH BETTER THAN STORE-SOLD ONES.
cAN YOU GROW THEM IN ZONE 8?

SORRY THAT INSTEDA OF ANSWERING, I ASKED MORE QUESTIONS.

My understanding is that they need to be in well-drained soil and planted nearly the top of the soil - barely covered or even some of the root showing. Though they need a lot water, too much water with not enough heat leads to rot.
They can take a fair amount of shade when it gets really hot out.
