Bulb Cuttage & Self Pollination

Hi all,

I'm new to the horticultural realm as well as the Amaryllis. Currently, I just harvested some of my first seeds and planted them. I also decided to try growing a bulb in a hurricane vase, which surprisingly did well. Lastly, I diced up a bulb into 4 sections or parts, and planted those.

This is my first time propagating them through seed and bulb cuttage.

Q1: The seeds are from a self pollinated store bought 'Apple Blossom'. I was wondering how that would effect the offspring? I figure if they have been bred before they must have recessive traits, so the seedlings might not be an exact replica of the parent? Any advice on this would be appreciated.

Q2: Bulb cuttage advice in general.

Thanks,
KDP
