Thank goodness you have your Hippis and your puppies to keep you warm, Jodi. Hux is outrageous! What a fun doggie he must be.

Sadly we got new neighbors with 3 dogs. One who wakes me up with his barking every morning at 5-6 a.m. The bad thing he is right outside my bedroom window! This seems to be the only time he barks too. I love animals, but not when they disrupt my much needed sleep!

Jodi, You are having way to much fun with all your blooms opening :) Really, though, thanks so much for sharing - not only is it enjoyable to see such beautiful flowers but it is really informative to see natural photos. I really like the shape of Rapido and Lady Jane is gorgeous.

So I finally get to meet Hux! What a handsome guy! He has that sweet sweet look to him. What nice markings on him too. Looking forward to beautiful puppy pics!

Cindee, really sorry about your neighbors dogs. It must be especially hard getting comfortable too! By the way how is everything healing? Hopefully you are recuperating by leaps and bounds - like in leaping tall plants and bounding through the garden!!! Oh and if all else fails - earplugs LOL

Giraffe remains always fascinating. Despite its rather pale colors. Great shape! I love the second photo. Look at the filaments - three are short and three are long, and this property is transferred to the progeny (if you breed some).

Jodi, the light shineing throu those Gorgeous blooms is just plain Heavenly!! I never get tired of looking at your jungle! and as for Hux... he is a total charmer! they will have the Cutest pups!!!

Awww Jodi, Emma and Hux are my favorite for this Jungle Series. =) It's so weird seeing 'Rapido' not upside down this time lol but it definitely looks beautiful! Lady Jane is quite the lady and Giraffe is something unique. =) Enjoy it while it lasts.

I love the way the light shines through your lovely petals! THose are both beautiful flowers..well, all 3 of them are! I Love the shape of Giraffe...it looks like it is dancing on the long legs! What kind of dance do you think a Giraffe does!

THe dogs are just too cute! I do not know much about bulldogs but I am learning, as a friend is "grandmother" to one and went from despising it to falling totally in love with it.THey must have quite the personalities!

I am waiting for a Gordon Setter pup this spring..a lovely little hunting type Gordie. I do not hunt but they have the merry personalities of a dog bred to work instead of for looks. I would never want to be without a dog and I would love to play with yours!

Such pretty flowers and puppies!!! It makes me want to buy some more bulbs and acquire a new animal. My babies need a new playmate. It is getting hard to restrain myself. I love your jungle and cant wait to see more pictures. Christina

Cindee, you could always begin by asking the neighbors nicely if they could keep their little buddy from waking you up as you just had major surgery and require rest... and if that doesn't work, perhaps Dennis has an air rifle BB gun? All it takes is a pump or two, and while a plink in the rear end won't hurt the dog, it will surprise him enough to stop him from barking!

Giraffe is a lovely variety with a very nice shape to it... looking at the colors, it's rather obvious who its ancestors are... I have crossed it with Lovely Garden, although it's too soon to tell if any pods will develop... and Rapido looks much prettier as an upright plant! The funny thing is, the upside down version still has seed pods ripening on it!

I don't know much about Gordon Setters, but I do know that I couldn't be without at least one dog in the house! No matter the breed, a canine companion is a "must have"! For us, the more the merrier! Hux is a little clown with a very playful personality... paired with Emma, the offspring should mostly be brindle, mid-sized Oldes with great temperaments and sweet dispositions, and yet fully capable of protecting their families... the next litter will be Emma's last... she's getting older, and I wanted to retire her after the last litter, but then along came Hux!

Lady Jane is a real looker, and I have one bloom that actually might have an anther sticking out! I am going to try breeding this one! It's the very first double I've ever seen that has the necessary parts to breed!

I appreciate all the great comments on my little jungle! Have no fear... I will continue to share photos as the jungle evolves and other things bloom!

As a footnote, Jungle Star should bloom next! It currently has two very tall scapes close to unfurling! This one is special to me, and I hope it's everything I've heard it is!
