The flowering trees are in full bloom, some shrubs are blooming (a little), the grass is getting extremely green, the clover is growing like crazy (groan), and the birds are back at the feeders with the exception of my hummers.

When and bought some salvias that are blooming already and filled the hummer feeders in anticipation, though ;)

Around here the spring bulbs (tulips and daffs) are up, but they are not blooming. Also, the trees and shrubs are not showing much sign of spring yet.

Things are turning green, like the neighbors grass and some of my perennials. But that is about it for here.

My vernal witch hazels have little flowers, the daylilies where the snow is gone have started to sprout/green up. The bearded irises are starting to poke a little green up.

Other than that...not much...a few of the buds om ny rhodies got blasted, but most look pretty good... ( rhodies don't do well for me as my soil is so heavy.)

dirtbert,pictures are worth more than a thousand words and of some that I have not taken yet are verbena homestead,dianthus,candituft,johnny jump ups,one rhodendron,lots of spring bulb,tulips but only the red ones are blooming ? A beautiful weeping crabapple-forsythias ,blooming trees and shrubs are beautiful all over town.Spring is definately here Grass is so green had to cut it 2 times already

Yes I would say that spring is here. In fact I know it is.
I don't have alot of green on my trees and bushes but I do
have alot of brown! I have four boxers and there is muddy
footprints everywhere! When anyone comes to any dorr into
my house, there's a bucket of soapy water and towels at each entrance! You won't see that design tip on Curb Appeal! I just love my doggies so much and will continue
to wash and wipe feet as long as they allow me to! Sybil

Here the bulbs are popping up all over the place. The Crocuses and Snowdrops are blooming everywhere, and the Scilla is close to blooming out in a flower bed. Daffodils that are next to the house are budding. The Daffodils that are not next to the house are not budding yet.

Most of the perennials are sending up shoots, but no sign of the late starters yet (Eupatorium, Aster). There is a green shoot on one of the Buddleias.

I've noticed that the Silver maples have red flowers on them, they appear to be in full bloom.

Oh, and this is VERY exciting! Not only do I have a few sprouts in the WS containers (only 5 out of 95), but there are two reseeders sprouting in the garden already. Lots of little sprouts of Alyssum and California Poppies. Yipppeeee!

I've had sprouts for about a month now; they really exploded in the last week or week and a half.

We have no flowers on the trees yet, but they're full of buds. The crocuses have bloomed and faded, and the daffodils just began blooming a few days ago.

I saw a Weeping Willow starting to leaf out last night.
The daffs are up in town and my neighbor has crocus blooming.
The magnolia and lilac buds are swelling and the forsithia is turning yellow.
Need to check my Claritin bottles, :-)

My daffodil should be in bloom within the next week....I always know exactly when mine bloom based on the lady around the corner whose start a week before mine LOL! Peony eyes are emerging and the Grape Hyacinth just started showing flowers emerging from the base (in the south bed) and Crocus of course have been in bloom for about a month. My immediate neighbors has something that looks like Star of Bethlehem but is a pretty blue that just started a few days ago and her Foxtail Lilies have emerged abt. 6" above the soil.
As for trees and shrubs, my Flowering Quince (wintersown '04) just opened it's first few tiny leaves within the last 2 days and the lilac buds are very swollen. The Cherry tree usually doesn't show until mid to late April. By the time it blooms is when the Hummingbirds first make their appearance :))))

Daffodils have been in bloom for weeks. Tulips I planted are just now up. Yay. I can't believe they bloomed. It's my first time growing bulbs. Fuschia colored trees are in bloom everywhere, dogwoods, forsythias, wisteria? too. Clover is everywhere and the grass is tall. Ants and moths are out. Some winged creatures (hundreds of them) have invaded our yard. I saw a beautiful red bird yesterday.
