weeping blue Alaska cedar, how much fun sun?

There's a nsy nearby that has had this weeping blue alaska cedar since the spring and I've had my eyes on it ever since. It's a beaut and to tell you the truth it doesn't look any worse for the wear after sitting in a container next to the pavement for record heat. It's a decent size but it's a tad bit on the pricy side considering I don't see any around. I need it to go in full sun. I can plant a fast growing shade tree near it to provide some shade eventually.

How far south is anyone growing one of these and what has your experience been?

Please note it is Alaska cedar and not Atlas cedar. I know atlas cedar is what a normal person would plant in Ga.
