Gaillardia and feeling defeated...

Hi,

This is my first time wintersowing and was really looking forward to getting some results since I moved into my new home about a year and half ago and so am starting from scratch in terms of having any flowers around in the yard.

I wintersowed Gaillardia Sundance Bicolour on March 08, and am seeing nothing and would have expected to see something by now. I had treated it like a perennial and sowed the seed on top of the soil as per the directions I had - I am not even sure what it is anymore since in my Stokes Seed Catalogue it is listed as an annual?

I had maybe 3 Bachelor Buttons come up in both containers, one hollyhock, a small glimpse of dianthus etc. Just not as much as I was anticipating at this point and nothing seems to be changing. My only good results were from my marigolds which seem to be the most plentiful. So I guess I am feeling a bit disappointed by things so far. :(
