Oh, thank you Xuan; how beautiful! I wish I could have been there. What a lovely bride and family you have. Could not help but notice the modern trend in the calla lilies as a bouquet, as well.

I agree with the others, especially with NancyLouise's observation, "If you don't go it will be much more difficult to mend the gap between you two." I do think it's childish of your daughter to say that the lady who helped her is going to be wearing THE corsage -- what, is there only one in the world? It would be classier for her to buy one for you, too. Maybe she still will. But even if she doesn't, although I know it will sting, it's not a big deal -- it's just a corsage. There are much bigger issues here. Do NOT show up wearing one you bought yourself. At least she gave you a heads up about a particular element that she knew would probably be upsetting rather than letting you get blindsided with it. I'm so sorry for this sorrow in your family. I hope it will improve, and I definitely think that attending the wedding and being nothing but positive will be a huge help. Good luck.

agree with coleen. there was this story on parents forum. This one lady posted her story as estranged parent and how her DIL treated her poorly and that's why she does not talk to her son or somehting of the sort. It did sound like a real story. But people made suggestions to her that she might be too harsh on her DIL and her son, so she should try to treat them nice because they sure cannot be as evil as she decsribed. She got upset and dissapeared. But then as time passed some newly registered member posted a thread about her MIL, in this thread this "young lady" was telling the same story but now from a position of DIL. and she portrayed herself as selfish and mean DIL. Now everybody is yelling and screaming: how dare you be so mean to your MIL, you are so evil and selfish. As time passed though it turned out that that same original poster (MIL) created a new name and decided to impersonate evil DIL as to convince everybody that DIL trully is evil. When it was uncovered both posters (or actually one under 2 names)dissapeared. So people do bizzare stuff to prove the point or waste everybody's time. On the other hand it is OK to discuss hypothetical situation with the wedding or with whatever else even if it is made up. Who cares if it is real, it is not like it makes a difference for us, right? The only difference is that with real story people can provide clarifications and true details to help with discussion but in made up stories we don't have that.

i'd love to take these beautiful photos and send them to my dd's outlaw mil...loved the dress! sept in las vegas is a nice time, too... mil was so nasty when dd wanted a las vegas wedding, so her grandmother could attend (she lived there) asked me over the phone who gets married in vegas but gamblers?? told her I DID! guess i'm still bitter cause they eloped... i hope the job and new life together have as many years as we have (going on 41)

Oh Xuan! How Lovely! The bride is so beautiful! And you've gained a handsome son-in-law! You have a wonderful, good-looking family! Your daughters are extremely pretty!

I really like the traditional wedding ceremony, and then the modern version... very nice! The traditional dress is superb, and the flowers are gorgeous! The little flower girls are so cute!

You must be very proud of your family! I feel honored to have seen such a personal part of your family life, and shared in your family's joy at such a special occasion... thank you for sharing your daughter's most special day! Please give her my best wishes for a wonderful future!

Those are such beautiful pictures! My absolute favorite is the happy couple when they are in the field. That picture belongs in a magazine. I would actually like to copy it when I have my wedding photos taken. Now I just have to find a field pretty enough to take pictures in. The only fields around here are cotton fields I am afraid. I love the traditional dress pictures also. Her wedding dress, her sisters dress, and your dress are quite stunning.

What a lovely romantic and beautiful time I spent looking at the photos! I love seeing how cellebrations are done in other cultures and how it brings out the natural beautyof the participants! Everyone looks just lovely!

Xuan, you must be very proud of your family, their inner beauty shows on their faces. Even yours! I hope you don't mind I printed the family picture. I am creating a "Memory Board" behind my computer desk. It is photos and memorabilia of my gardening friends, postcards (I have one from Hollywood from Soultan) and other goodies.

Your daughters are stunning, beautiful like their Mother. I just love the ceremonial costumes. They are georgous and rich looking. God's blessings on your daughter and her new life!!
