Has anyone heard from "gone2seed" lately? I had an awesome trade with them early this fall. I traded for some of their Pamelas. I would just like to say a big 'ol THANKS! I was inspecting seed pods this morning and found THIS.

Do you see what I see? A little teeny tiny leaf to the left of the bulb! I love today :-)

PS...I'm not rocking out, working and listening to coworkers chatter. Hate that, but tolerate it! So...will put on a Jimmy Buffet CD!

Jimmy Buffet holds a lot of fond memories for me. I can't remember what birthday it was, but after hours one year on "my day" I was sitting in a lawn chair on the roof of my parked car wearing a cowboy hat white knuckling a bottle of tequila screaming, "I am Jimmy (expletive deleted) Buffet" to people walking home from the bars. We may have lived a little too close to the pubs that year. Ah, college.

Oh my goodness. What a surprise to end the day finding all these wonderful "favorite things" -- I love it! Creating and sharing beauty; everyone here seems to have an interest in that. Michaela, you and I are sharing the uplifting experience of finding some new roses that don't "sleep" after they're newly planted. I expected these roses to do not much of anything this first year. Instead, they're lending a maturity to the new "Garden of Forgotten Dreams" that's making me so happy. From my early observations, though, I do think Carding Mill performs better in heat than it does when the weather cools. Msdorkgirl, is your Grand Dame a prolific bloomer? I've been seeing pictures of this rose exploding with blooms, and wonder if that happens commonly. Ingrid, how warm and inviting to share your cherished antiques -- exquisite! You say you don't have many roses blooming, but the ones you have are gorgeous. I especially love the picture of Aunt Margy's Rose. I am so glad you all enjoyed the swap. I too can not wait to see these seeds bloom. That is a great quote, Brenda. I know I'll be planting these seeds and prayin' they bloom for me. Lol--(my first year at "real" WS). I must say that it would have been better for me to play around with my seeds on New Years Eve also. Then maybe I would have spent New Years day with my head in a bag of potting soil rather than in the toilet!!!! LOL--just joking but I did have to recover from the festivities for days!!!!!! I'll be thinking of some new swap ideas. Thanks again to all!!!! Dawn

We just hid our microwave in a tall cabinet. You can't see it & yet it's easily accessible. Just make a hole in the back for the cord. And it's not built in so if it breaks we can just replace it. LOVE IT TOO!

I love the clay! You must have had such a good time playing today. How did you do the designs in them? They look so Celtic and beautiful! Most excellent, Larissa! Babies rock! I discovered a baby growing alongside my Sumatra, and my Germa bulbs both have several new babies! Yee-Ha!

"Love is like a bomb, Baby, c'mon get it on!" Can you guess what's blasting my eardrums this morning? "Pour some sugar on me... in the name of love... Pour some sugar on me... c'mon fire me up!" Oh Yeah! My fav band of all time! I'm so old...

Back to the hippis... I've noticed a lot of new growth on several of my bulbs... and 3 out 4 of my Papilios are pushing up new green leaves!

Outside the windows... it's frigidly cold... a whopping 17 degrees... and the mega snow is falling, or I should say, blowing... sideways!! A very good day to stay in and listen to some music... with a cup of hot coffee in one hand!

POUR some SUGAR on ME.....ooooooooooooooo in the name of LOVE I'm hot, sticky sweet from my head to my feet SCH-YEAH! I used to listen to that in my Dad's truck on the way to church when I was a wee little girl. I would request it. What a terrible father. lol I freaking-A love Def Leppard.

My favorite band in the whole world... and I do love a lot of bands... but dang... I'd never kick Joe Elliot out of bed for eating crackers! What a hunk! Yowza! LOL!

... and the Spiders From Mars! Love it!

Vault... that's my fav Def Leppard CD! All the hits!

Other favs include AFI, Foreigner, Metallica, Ozzy, Velvet Revolver, P.O.D., Moody Blues, Audioslave, Pink.... lots more and lots of classic type stuff... although, there's something about the blues that gets me...

I like a lot of varied music... pretty much anything except country or elevator music! LOL!
