Order of Harvesting

I've been able to find that Turban and Asiatic are the earliest ripening varieties, followed by Artichoke. And Silverskins appear to ripen last. What about the rest? As a general rule, from earliest to latest, how would you order Creole, Glazed PS, Marbled PS, Porcelain, Purple Stripe and Rocambole?

I harvest all my purple stripes, porcelain and artichoke at the same time. I haven't noticed enough difference in the timing to warrant separate diggings. I have no Creole or Rocambole to speak of.
As you said, the Turbans and Asiatics come out earlier.

Probably the best answer to the question can be found in the link below. It is not only a question of which ripens first, but in knowing how to recognize when each type is ready to harvest.

Love2garden: You don't say where you are located, so I can't get a feel for the developmental stage of your fruit, but yes, you can prune peach and plum trees early to open them up to light on the fruit. I do it all the time, every season. In the process of pruning, you will inevitably remove some fruit and relieve weight on the branches. But pruning is no substitute for thinning the fruit, both peaches and plums. I thin off at least 90% of the fruit on my peaches, and maybe 80% of the plums, and sometimes this is not enough if they are still too closely spaced. Always try to leave behind the largest, fastest growing fruit, since they will be the best, but if there are two big ones right next to one another, one of them has to go. If your trees are too tall to reach all the fruit from your ladder, prune them down so that you can. Crowded fruit at the top of the tree will not be full size, and can cause limb breakage. Yes and no. Gynoecious cucumbers are usually known for predominantly female blossoms. A parthenocarpic cucumber will be fully gynoecious but have the capability of setting fruit with out pollination. The fruit will never of course have viable seeds, Usually they are considered seedless. These were developed for green house growers but have expanded into home gardener market. A variety may be gynoecious without also being parthenocarpic. Parthenocarpic varieties do not need insects or hand pollination.

Thanks, Based upon the maturity guides from those two sources, the list would look like this: Pristine Williams Pride Ginger Gold Sansa Zestar Summer Rambo Wealthy Pink Pearl That still leaves Swiss Gourmet(Arlet), Liveland Rasp., Skinner Seedling, and Golden Nugget for apples I don't know the harvest dates.

Thanks Bob and Lycheeluva. Lycheeluva - the Poamoho lychee tree is an airlayer from a tree at the Poamoho Research Station in Hawaii, where I believe 500 seedlings of Hak Ip (and possibly other varieties) were planted, in order to find a seedling that might produce better in Hawaii (where they really don't get any chilling hours to speak of). Frank, of Frankie's Nursery in Hawaii, found that this particular tree seemed to be much more productive than the others, and simply called it "Poamoho". (not the same as the Kaimana) Brad

Last year my Blossom turbans came in a month ahead of the hardnecks. I expected Silverskin to run late, but it was very much ready about the time the hardnecks were scaping. I have several varieties in my hardneck collection, from big Music to mid-size Appalachian to a small Korean strain, and they all come in at about the same time.

For big scale market farming I am sure economics and convenience are factors, as MRAK said. But for me, the BACK-YARDENER simple indication is to watch for the leaves pattern. With about 100 plants I can manage to take care of that.
