Rare Rose Auction by California Coastal Rose Society

Our ninth annual rare rose auction will be held Tuesday, November 17th at 5 pm California time.

Many varieties of roses not otherwise in commerce will be available for bidding, including many OGRs. I do know that we have obtained 10 roses for this auction where the only known living specimen of those cultivars is in the Carla Fineschi Foundation Rose Garden (Roseto Carla Fineschi) in Italy and our cuttings came from those roses, but sorry, I cannot name which ones because I didn't write down the list when they told me. If you come to the auction, however, the auctioneer will undoubtedly identify them again.

The key point for out-of-towners is that provisions have been made to keep roses over the winter for those who can't take delivery now due to cold weather.
