Anyone grow Easter Basket?

I've been searching high and low for a yellow/pink blend--preferably a shorter or medium-sized floribunda, though a HT might work. Just ran across Easter Basket, a 2007 introduction, but can find little info. on it. There is one gorgeous pic of it on an older gallery posting, and maybe 2 or 3 short comments on the forum. So help me out, if you can.

I love the soft, frilly look. Evidently it opens creamy yellow? Picks up a pale pink blush around the edges? Darker pink with age? One poster said she didn't like the aging look, but based on the HMF photos, I rather like it--though the part yellow/part pink blush is my favorite stage. Is the aging bloom unattractive? I rather like the idea of the changing colors.

Is the overall effect subtle or dramatic?

How does it respond to lots of sun and heat? I hope it doesn't bleach out white. Or blow quickly.

Disease-resistance?

What else should I know? (Don't tell me it is a 10 ft behemoth in California. Since I'm in Kansas, that info. isn't much help to me.) The catalog descriptions mention good repeat, but slight fragrance. I can live with that.

So next you are going to tell me that there is no Easter bunny either?

Someone--please save my Easter illusions! Someone somewhere must grow this rose. Would still like some info.

My In-Laws give me an Easter basket and I LOVE IT! I don't get stuff like that anymore and it's just fun and thoughtful. I'll usually get a gift card or money and other smaller things. She always adds a toothbrush and shaving gel/cream; sometimes even toothpaste. At first I thought these items were a little odd just because that was never the type of stuff our Easter baskets had when growing up, but I appreciate that they're practical things I'll use. I look forward to that now. Sometimes I'll have little cute hand sanitizers, chap stick, a candle and always a little bit of candy. I get a Christmas stocking from them too! :)

We don't even celebrate Easter religiously, and my dd always got a basket with some good quality candy (mama don't like cheap chocolate, heh heh), a book or 3, some fun little items, socks, always an item of summer clothing, but the most fun was that we hid the basket in the house and had a series of clues she had to go through to find it; "I'm can be hot but usually I'm not" (the oven), "I'm a plant with blooms to wow the holes in your cranium, I'm a ________", etc. We used to make her go through about 10 clues before she got the one that led to the basket. It was fun and yes, it is absolutely pathetic that I can remember some of the rhymes I wrote and can't recall important info, like sending in my car registration. She's now a sophomore in college and still likes to find her clues, all the while protesting loudly, of course.

I got one this season. Mine is still in a big 18" pot, waiting for me to get the last beds designed. My plant bloomed maybe three times, and so far it's stayed smallish. Like 3ft x 3ft. But, this was its first season here. The blooms were very pale. Looked nothing like the pics on HMF. Very light yellow with barely a hint of pink; and unfortunately, it does quickly fade to white. But I think it will change some next season, and no matter what, I think I'm going to like it a lot!!

Thank you, beth, for the pics. Hmmm--it is a lot lighter than the pics at HMF, isn't it! I don't know what to think now.

Does anyone have an Easter Basket that shows some pink flush? Love to hear from you.

I got this rose this Spring and it is still in a pot. It has bloomed with a pink tinge for me and sometimes is a gorgeous pink and yellow. It ages to more of a white here with a pinkish tinge. Has had a few pretty good flushes. I like it so far.
