I agree that X-Rated has similar color, but the bloom shape on mine is very differrent than the rose in the photo, more like a little hybrid tea. The rose in question has globular blooms, elongated peduncles and thornlessness which makes me suspect it could be an old garden rose of some kind. Maybe a polyantha or one of the Koster series. At any rate, my suggestion would be to pose the same question on the Antique Roses forum and see if one of their heritage rose experts recognizes your pretty little rose: Here is a link that might be useful: Antique Roses

The pink one looks like Pink Peace to me. The color and shape are right but that white picotee edge is a dead give away. Do you have more pictures of the second one?

Robyn, I like you have also searched for a pink rose with a double bloom of about the same size. It was grown by my mother who passed away when I was 11. Long before I cared about the name of a rose or when we might have discussed such things. Would have been some 50+ years ago. I ordered the fairy first as it had been hybridized before 1960. But alas the flower was too small. After a few other failed attempts. I tried for a lookalike and ordered Forever Friends and The Fawn while I know these are not the rose of my childhood they were very close and satisfied my need to have that rose in my life. All thou I've never exactly quit looking.
